Privacy Policy for WASP – Wheel AI Search Project

This Privacy Policy explains how WASP – Wheel AI Search Project (“WASP”) handles information when you use the WASP mobile application.

Information WASP Processes

WASP allows users to take or select photographs of wheels for AI-assisted wheel identification. Images submitted for identification may be transmitted securely to remote processing services in order to analyze the image and return identification results.

Images submitted for AI identification are used to provide the requested identification functionality. WASP does not require users to create an account.

Vehicle information, scan history, favorites, garage information, and related app preferences may be stored locally on the user's device to provide app functionality.

Photos

Users may choose to provide wheel or vehicle photographs. Wheel photographs submitted for identification are transmitted to remote processing services as necessary to perform the requested analysis.

Photos used for identification are not sold or used for advertising purposes. Photos processed by WASP's identification services are intended to be used only as necessary to perform the requested identification.

Advertising

The free version of WASP uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information including IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, advertising identifiers, App Set ID, and other device identifiers. This information may be used for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.

Google and its advertising partners may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable privacy settings.

Google Play Purchases

WASP may offer optional paid PRO access through Google Play. Payments are processed by Google Play. WASP does not receive or store users' credit-card or other payment-card information. WASP may receive information necessary to determine whether a user has an active PRO entitlement.

Third-Party Services

WASP uses third-party services to provide features including advertising, AI/image processing, vehicle and wheel information, cloud infrastructure, and Google Play purchases. Information necessary to provide these features may be transmitted to the applicable service provider.

Data Security

Data transmitted between WASP and its remote services is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.

Data Retention

Information stored locally by WASP, such as history, favorites, vehicle information, and saved images, remains on the user's device until it is removed by the user, removed through the app, or the app's data is deleted.

Images transmitted for AI identification are intended to be processed only as necessary to provide the requested identification and are not retained by WASP as a permanent user image library.

Third-party service providers may retain limited technical, advertising, diagnostic, or transaction information according to their own retention policies.

Children's Privacy

WASP is not specifically designed or directed toward children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as WASP's features or data practices change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
